The Role of the Judiciary
The success of this agenda will depend on a judiciary that is committed to the principles of democracy and economic justice. A new administration must prioritize the appointment of judges who:
- Have a demonstrated record of protecting the rights of workers, consumers, and ordinary citizens.
- Reject the pro-corporate, anti-democratic ideology that has dominated the judiciary for decades.
- Are committed to interpreting the Constitution in a way that promotes a more just and equitable society, in line with the framers’ goal of creating a “more perfect Union.”
